Alcohol rehabilitation is one of the biggest problems faced by the human race nowadays. People use alcohol as beverage, so they do not consider it as a harmful thing. Alcohol is considered as a recreational drug, people do not see any harm in taking it when ever they want. They can get it easily anywhere, anytime because it is legal. Using alcohol as beverage or recreation purpose is safe but when it is consumed in huge amount daily to suppress the depression, the problem arises. To suppress the depression person consumes alcohol daily. It becomes habit for him and person is completely addicted to alcohol.
It is very hard for him to get rid of the addiction. Only proper treatment in rehab centre can help a person to get rid of the addiction and get back to normal life. The withdrawal effects of alcohol addiction are much severe than that of drug addiction; it can easily cause heart failure and stroke if not taken proper care of.
All over the world there are so many rehab centers but few provide excellent treatment facilities. Alcohol addiction is very harmful and the addicted patients need immense care and proper treatment. Treatment for alcohol addiction is better to be taken from any well renowned alcohol rehabilitation center. The medical staffs of the well known alcohol rehab centers take care of the patients. They interact with the patients very intimately when withdrawal symptoms show up. It gives mental support to the patients so that they can fight against the pain. Alcohol addiction causes lot of physical problems like liver failure, heart blockage, higher blood pressure etc. In a rehab centre where the patient is admitted, lots of physical exercises are prescribed so that they can get rid of these physical problems. The atmospheres of rehabs are friendly and helpful for the patients; it helps them to stay calm and not feel lonely during the treatment.
People, who are fighting with this problem, need to take a step and find renowned rehab centre where all the facilities are available. Get proper treatment from there and back to your normal life.

…or are you part of the solution”, that’s the question I ask our callers when they call me about their loved ones. What would be your answer to that question,” What kind of question is that” some of you may ask, “Of course I’m not part of the problem” some of you may say but being part of the problem is more common then you may think.
“Let me ask a few questions” I might say, “Where is your loved one living”, they might say “At home” with that answer they have confirmed that they are part of the problem. If they say “Not here, I can’t have him/her stay here, I never know what I’ll come home to” now I know they are part of the solution. Next I’ll ask “How does he/she support themselves”, if the answer is “Well I pay for….” (whatever it may be) then I have someone who is part of the problem. If they say “I won’t give them a dime” then I have someone who is part of the solution. Remember all we drug addicts/ alcoholics need to survive is a roof over our heads, food to eat, a place to sleep and someone who’ll take care of us–If we have even 2 of those things we are just fine. (If the world blew up tomorrow all that would survive would be cockroaches, drug addicts and alcoholics)-we are very resilient so don’t worry about being to hard on us.
The next question I may ask is “Have they stolen anything from you” usually the answer will be “Yes” I’ll then say “Did you press charges against them” and most of the time the answer is “No’. “Why didn’t you” I’ll ask and the answers usually are ” I never thought of that, I don’t think I could do that, How would they get a job with a felony on their record, They might get mad at me,” on and on it goes. That person is part of the problem as they are blocking the consequences and rewarding us for our bad behavior, “But that’s mean” you might say–”Is what you’re doing working” I might say back, if it’s not you might want to do something different. If I hear a “Yes and they are still in jail and will stay there until I get help lined up” I have a person who is part of the solution and one who’s taken a big step.
Maybe you’re the type of person or you know someone who is always saying, “Next time you cross that line you are really going to get it Mister” finger wag and all. Then with a smile on our face we druggies and alkies leap over your line and the we get response is “OK but next time you will get it, I really mean it this time.” And so it goes, the forever moving consequence line, if you are this person or know someone who is, you or they are part of the problem. If you are able to follow through with the promised consequences you are a person who is part of the solution and again you are taking a big step in helping your loved one get better.
Who will make it out of addiction and who will stay in addiction depends on several factors but one of the big ones is how many people we have in our camp who are “part of the problem” or “part or the solution”. I’ve been doing this awhile now and there are many examples I could give but for now I’ll just give you one–my brother Greg had a lot of “part of the problem’ people in his camp. I had a lot of “part of the solution” people in my camp, my brother Greg is dead and I’m alive–I’ll leave it up to you to be the judge which way works best.
