Christian 12 Step Program
Pacific Hills follows the Christ-centered 12-step approach to recovery in its Christian 12-step program. However, that does not mean Pacific Hills only constitutes a Christian Track. The center only sets forth an integrated biblical framework emphasizing the entire work done at the Pacific Hills treatment center. Pacific Hills applies the guidelines outlined in the Old and New Testament scriptures for its professional counseling, rehabilitation and treatment programs.
The 12-steps and their spiritual foundation by Alcoholics Anonymous draw inspiration from the scriptures. Our Christian 12-step program combines and broadens these fundamental truths as per the Christian perspective. The program holds relevance to and means a lot to the patients suffering from chemical addiction and emotional wounds.
Patients who opt for our Christian 12-step program learn lot more about Christ and we help them clear their misconceptions about God. Through this program they set the foundation to a new relationship with Jesus Christ that is filled with love and grace. We try to purify the thoughts of all the patients and help their spirits liberate.
We teach them to overcome their urges of addiction and make them realize that by helping themselves they move forward wherein God steps in to shower His mercy upon them. This program is the opportunity for them to release themselves from addiction, compulsive and dysfunctional behavior. This freedom infuses peace, serenity and joy into their lives and helps them create stronger relation with family and God.
The professional staff at Pacific Hills for the Christian 12-step program consists of devout Christian men, women, credential and ordained pastors who some themselves are on the path to long-term recovery. Every staff member adds his/her own experience and training to the program that is totally complimented by our Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Celebrate Recovery
The Celebrate Recovery curriculum was developed by renowned Saddleback Church pastored by Rick Warren who authored the bestseller titled The Purpose Driven Life. This program has been developed out-of-concern for the increasing number of addictions and compulsive behavior, both inside and outside the Church community.
Saddleback opened doors to addicts and alcoholics fourteen years ago and today Celebrate Recovery represents the international Christ-centered community. This community works mainly towards helping people recover from addictions and caters to over 3,600 groups a week in the U. S. alone.
Our staff uses The Bible and Celebrate Recovery Participant Guide during interactive workshops and individual counseling sessions. We also arrange transport for our patients to attend the Celebrate Recovery meetings. We also recommend to the patients at discharge to attend the Celebrate Recovery meetings closer to home.
