Drug abuse help
Does Pacific Hills offer drug abuse help? Yes. For over a decade, Pacific Hills has offered drug abuse help for adults who are addicted to drugs. They have proven that Christian substance abuse treatment provides sobriety and sanity to both clients and their families
Drug abuse is considered by many people to be simply a "social problem", one that doesn't really require drug abuse help. Many people characterize those who take drugs as morally weak or as having criminal tendencies. It is also believed by some that drug addicts should be able to simply stop taking drugs if they are willing to change their behavior.Treatment at a Christian substance abuse center will help the individual sort out and mend the underlying issues relating to their substance abuse.
Pacific Hills, one of the country's premier Christian substance abuse centers acknowledges these untrue myths and stereotypes and we provide drug abuse help for those who are addicted; we know it takes more than willpower to stop using. Those addicted to drugs suffer from a compulsive drug craving and usage and cannot quit by themselves. Drug abuse help is necessary to end this compulsive behavior.
Drug abuse and addiction pose a public health problem that affects many people and has wide-ranging social consequences. Pacific Hills offers drug abuse help to those in need and understands that drug addiction is a chronic, relapsing, and treatable disease.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has conducted considerable research that shows addiction is clearly treatable. Through Pacific Hills' program that provides drug abuse help, clients can learn to control their condition and live relatively normal lives. Treatment can have a profound effect not only on drug abusers, but on society as a whole by significantly improving social and psychological functioning, decreasing related criminality and violence, and reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS. It can also dramatically reduce the costs to society of drug abuse.
Clients who seek drug abuse help at Pacific Hills Treatment Centers will find their Christian substance abuse program to be efficient, educational, inspirational and affirming. Here, they are assigned a Case Manager who, with the client, designs an individualized treatment plan. Clients who admit for drug abuse help are given medical and psycho-social assessments at intake. If a co-occurring mental disorder (bipolar, anxiety, depression, etc.) appear to be present, the client would be referred to our consulting psychiatrist for assessment and treatment of that disorder, in addition to the client's treatment for drug abuse help.
All clients who admit to Pacific Hills' for drug abuse help attend regular group and individual counseling and also attend regular Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step meetings, as is typical of Christian substance abuse programs. They learn to seek out a sponsor (who is in successful recovery) and learn how to utilize this successful self-help group when they return home, after completion of their drug abuse help program at Pacific Hills.
