Heroin is an extremely addictive drug and Pacific Hills offers heroin addiction rehab. Prior to admission, clients are assessed and usually attend medical detoxification at an affiliated facility. Once medical detoxification is complete the client admits to our heroin rehab program.
Addiction to heroin can also place people at increased risk for a wide variety of illnesses, sometimes brought on by behavior (poor living, poor health habits) or because of the toxic effect of the heroin itself. Consequently, Pacific Hills' heroin addiction rehab performs a medical examination when the client admits, and any medical issues are treated throughout the client's heroin rehab. Medications are an important element of heroin rehab treatment especially when combined with counseling and other behavioral therapies.
A psychological–social assessment is performed and also a psychiatric evaluation if the client exhibits signs of a co-existing mental disorder. Pacific Hills' heroin addiction rehab believes that drug-abusing individuals with coexisting mental disorders should have both disorders treated in an integrated way. The staff at Pacific Hills' heroin addiction rehab believes that the client's treatment must address not only his or her drug use, but also any associated medical, psychological, social, vocational and legal problems.
Throughout Pacific Hills' heroin rehab program, an individual's treatment plan is continually assessed and modified as necessary to ensure that the plan meets the client's changing needs.
Individual and group counseling are key elements of our client's treatment while attending Pacific Hills' heroin addiction rehab. Clients address issues of motivation, learn to build skills to resist drug use and replace those urges with non drug-using activities. Our heroin rehab uses behavioral therapy to facilitate interpersonal relationships and the individual's ability to again function in the family and community.
Pacific Hills' heroin addiction rehab monitors clients for possible drug use while in heroin rehab which can help the patient withstand urges to use drugs. Such monitoring can also provide early evidence of drug use so that the client's heroin rehab treatment plan can be adjusted.
Remaining in heroin addiction rehab for an adequate period of time is critical for treatment effectiveness. Once clients complete our heroin rehab's Residential Inpatient program, they are encouraged to continue with our Transitional care program, as we believe that additional treatment can produce further progress toward recovery.
