Wernicke's encephalopathy, a neurologic disease caused by thiamine deficiency, is observed chiefly in chronic alcoholics. We performed magnetic resonance imaging and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) in an alcoholic patient who had developed Wernicke's encephalopathy. Although cranial MRI detected no pathology, brain SPECT revealed bilateral frontal and frontoparietal hypoperfusion as well as right basal ganglia hypoperfusion.

"I don't think there can be a better program than those offered by Pacific Hills.  The programs are without a doubt ones that take hopelessness and turn it into miracles.  The staff has what it takes to turn lives around, and the end result is truly a miracle.  I watched the video on your website and continue to watch it everyday.  I know every word by heart, and every word that is spoken is the absolute truth."  It all started with a phone call to the information help line.
