Relapse Prevention Gorski-Model Program
Since each person’s addictive behavior has been constructed upon a series of circumstances that progressively led them along in their illness, we believe it is critical to identify each client’s relapse warning signs so that they may develop strategies to maintain their journey toward recovery.
The ultimate goal of our program is not only to begin a healthy lifestyle that includes abstinence, but also to identify and address “triggers” for each person’s relapse. This powerful distinction is largely built upon the work of Dr. Terence Gorski, one of the leading authorities on recovery and relapse prevention. Using relapse prevention therapy we identify each client’s current stage of recovery and establish a recovery plan to identify and manage the relapse warning signs, which are unique to that individual.
Our graduating clients are equipped with a step-by-step process and discharge program. A lifestyle program that is based on relapse prevention enables individuals to develop a sobriety-centered value system in the context of their own recovery fellowship. They are then able to develop non-chemical stress management and coping skills, to repair addiction-caused family and social damage and to build a balanced life style.
