Addiction and Soul Sickness
Alcohol and drug addicts lead a life that is haywire and off balance. They usually don’t enjoy family and their social life and are not able to deliver as per their skills. They can feel sick physically, mentally and emotionally. Their life can revolve around only the people who give them company in drinking and doing drugs. As such they lead an isolated and secluded life and may therefore find themselves abandoned by their loved ones.
But worse of all addicts, step by step, alienate themselves from the Higher power, Jesus Christ. The writers of Alcoholics Anonymous realized this fact hence weaved the 12-step program that has been instrumental in changing million lives around the world.
We are convinced that spiritual awakening can truly help an individual recover from his/her addiction. Our distinct programs can help you achieve your goals. The Christian 12-Step program offers a non-denominational, Christ-centered, biblical approach to recovery, while the Traditional 12-Step program presents recovery based on God as the individual may understand Him, as presented in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. The goal of both programs is not to instill doctrine, but to affirm dynamic faith in an all-powerful God.
Patients can choose the Christian or Traditional Program, whichever they feel comfortable with and during the course are free to switch over to other program. Groups that address the medical or physical basis of addiction are blended, while those groups dealing with life-skills, spiritual skills and 12-Step recovery are separated.
