Drug and Alcohol Rehab Client Letter

Hey everyone-

I miss you all soooooooo much! I'm doing great here in California and will be going home in a week. I feel like a new person and that is all thanks to all of you. I'm soooooooo thankful I went to Texas for residential instead of here. I brag about you guys all the time and how lucky I was to have such an awesome experience. I hope everyone's doing well and words cannot express how thankful I am for all of you. You all saved my life and for that, you all will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart!

I love you.

Dear Kirby,

Words cannot express my gratitude to you for accepting Todd on scholarship to your treatment program. I know your trust was in Roberto..and Todd needed to show that he could commit to the treatment program. I believe he not only committed but has flourished in your treatment program. He is embracing the AA program..lives it, thinks it, breathes it!

Now the difficult time is approaching. Stepping into the real world! I believe your generosity in accepting him into the "Transitional" treatment program, also on "scholarship" could prove to be the difference in continuing this journey of sobriety.

This has truly been the best gift we've ever been given. The ultimate"pay-it-forward".

As I have said to you..the dedication and devotion of Roberto (who seems also to be innately intuitive) has been a blessed event in our lives. God must have put him in both of our paths.

Thank you also for "Norm", a wonderful, insightful intelligent human being.

Most of all, thank you for taking this chance..the ultimate gift..a chance for one to learn to embrace a healthy life. Gratefully yours,

Trudi M

Dear Tod:

Our son, joined the Resident Program at Pacific Hills Treatment Center on March 12 this year. When he came in he was seriously involved in drug addiction, and was in a state of helplessness and depression due to it.

This drug addiction program has been truly excellent. It addressed him as a whole person, physically, mentally and spiritually. He was kept on wholesome foods and activities, and soon was able to overcome the immediate physical urges. In addition to this, he also had access to a caring medical team to address any drug addiction and physical problems. His mental needs were addressed by access to a skilled psychologist. They were also addressed through participation in some very excellent seminars, a couple of which we attended. Several aspects of drug addiction were addressed in these seminars, including medical aspects, psychological effects, peer activities that draw one into drug addiction and so on. Most importantly, his spiritual needs were addressed through access to counselors who themselves depended on God. They taught him a dependence on God for overcoming his addiction, rather than a dependence on himself.

Pacific Hills has given us our son back. Today he is walking in humble dependence on God. His confidence is back that, with God's help, he can break the hold that drug addiction and alcohol addiction had over him. He is looking forward to life, and its challenges.

We too have a new relationship with him as a result of this program, and we all have the tools to help him break this cycle of drug addiction and depression. We all have a renewed dependence on God for His help and mercy in taking us through this and anything else.

Our son liked the Resident Program very much. He became very close with his case manager Mr. Stephen and the group of men he stayed with. He therefore decided to continue with the Transitional Program to gain additional strength. He is now refreshed and renewed and ready to come home.

We wanted to express our gratitude to Pacific Hills for having given our son his life back, and having given us our son back. We pray that you will be able to continue your ministry to others. We have enclosed a small donation check to help others who may need it with Pacific Hills.

Sincerely,

Kris K

Dear Covenant Hills Staff -

Hello everyone - sober greetings from Omaha, Nebraska. I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what's been happening since I left the beautiful house in Boerne..I'm 100 days sober today and I've made it to a meeting just about everyday since arriving home. I've been blessed to find a great sponsor that I'm working the steps with. Her name is Jen and she has 4 years of sobriety. She is 27 and is someone that I can really relate to. She's especially good at keeping me rigorously honest with myself and my Higher Power at all times - whether I like it or not!!! I have said goodbye completely to all of my old using buddies so my social circle is pretty small right now. But I'm making good friends in the program every day. I'm in outpatient treatment twice a week, see a therapist once a week, and continue to manage my meds with a psychiatrist. Sobriety and relapse prevention is a lot of work and not always fun! But the payoff so far has been incredible. I asked to speak at a speaker meeting this past week which of course was a great experience for me - that I could share with others the ways that my time at Covenant Hills changed/saved my life. I think about each of you often and what you did for me during those 35 days. I don't know what else to say except thank you. And I will let you know when I get my 6 month chip!! Keep up the good work down there in Texas, one by one you save the lives of the women who stay there and want the miracle. Very

Sincerely, Melissa M

p.s. Tana – thanks so much for mailing me the box of stuff I couldn't fit into my luggage- I appreciate it!

This place has been the most healing environment that I have ever experienced. All of you here at Covenant Hills are so very special to me. God was so very far away from my life and I didn't know how to reconnect to Him. I have been able to reconnect with Him here and to experience many other beautiful gifts sent from Him. There are miracles performed here and I thank all of the staff for being able to see the importance of this type of rehab. It has been a pleasure to be here.

God bless,

Lauren G.

An important aspect that sets Pacific Hills Treatment Centers' drug and alcohol rehab centers apart is that they treat clients with dual diagnosis / co-occurring disorders. The drug and alcohol rehab center's staff acknowledges with many clients, there is the presence of both substance abuse and a mental disorder, which can include bipolar disorder.
